Amy and Julien – Beautiful Vancouver late May wedding
I have known Amy for quite some time as we used to work together years ago. Amy is one of the most lovely, genuine, and smart person I know. So when she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was glad and honored to accept.
The day unfolded beautifully – celebrating the love and friendship between Amy and Julien and their wonderful friends and family right there with them. As with traditional Chinese receptions, the energy at the banquet was phenomenal – with families coming from across the globe and different cultures and languages being together. I admittedly went a little “nuts” during reception trying to capture as many details and expressions as I could. You’re going to see more than the usual amount of reception photographs here!

Great Father’s Day Gift that Celebrates Your Relationships
I had some really fun sessions over the past few weeks and will be doing my due dilligence in updating my blog in the next few days.
In the meantime, here is one that I did with Liz and Dora on Granville Island – what a lovely and dynamic mother/step-daughter team! I love the way they connect and show affection for each other, and it’s obvious how much they adore and respect one another. Liz approached me wanting to get something for her husband, Kirk, for Father’s Day – something that would showcase and celebrate her relationship with Dora. We got some fabulous candid shots from our 1 hour session, and put three of the best shots in a framed series – ready to be hung on the wall of Kirk’s office!

In my heart, I am a people documentary photographer. Telling stories with photographs is what I love to do. Somewhere along the past 10 years since I first started shooting, I have developed a keen sense in anticipating and capturing moments of human connections. Often they are the Everyday Moments – the ones that we cherish so much but sometimes overlook.
My love and passion as a photographer is to be able to capture these moments in the form of photographs for those I am privileged to work with.
