Hi, welcome to the Lumeo Studio! I’m Peggy Leung, the owner of Lumeo Studio, also the woman behind all the work you see here. I’m a story teller and my media of choice is documentary style video and photographic images.
I must admit – I started off with a semi-serious write up of who I am and what I want this site to be. The “seriousness” is a default influenced by my very conscientious up-bringing (traditional chinese), a very responsible education background (civil engineering), and a very professional first career (management consulting). But that’s not a full picture of who I am or how I would like Lumeo to represent.
I’m adventurous and self-expressed. I’m emotional and intuitive, and would often chuckle out loud or shed tears over emotionally rich videos and photographs.
I also believe in giving back to the community – please take a moment to check out the community projects I’m currently working on.
I think there is a lot of power in digital media to help us connect with one another and remind us to not take things for granted. To be able to use videography and photography to capture the everyday human connections – moments of laughter, love, and intimacy, then weaving that into a unique story – is what I love to do most.
“It is our humanity, and all the potential with it, that makes us beautiful.” – Aimee Mullins
Thanks for visiting. Enjoy your stay.

p.s. Oh, and why Lumeo? It’s a made up name – my husband came up with the word after I told him I want to use “Lumiere” as the business name. “That’s no good – it’s too hard to spell and people are going to confuse you with that restaurant (we have a restaurant in Vancouver with the same name)” – he reasoned. Five minutes later he came up with a easy to spell, smart, and sweet name – Lumeo. And so it is. I know, he’s quite brilliant.
